Green Hell (Nordschleife) Package - 2026R1

This is a dedicated camera package for Nordschleife and Nurburgring Combined layouts.
It was my biggest project so far and since the track is so huge that I'm limited by the number of cameras iRacing allows per track. The shorter Nordschleife only configs have more camera variety than the longer combined layouts.

Whats new?

Smaller updates for most configurations based on added 3D grass change.

I removed the cars because they change almost every year. Sportscars and others can now be accessed through dedicated car camera packages.

Available Camera Groups

Real life replica - TV style real life replica of the 2016 24hour and VLN for the reposective track layouts

Group1 (TV1) is custom TV style similar to real life replicas
-
Group2 (TV2) probably the most cinematic, getting the most out of depth of field and focusing to deliver good images of the car (to give some feeling of speed, to better show paints, duels close, etc)

Group 3 (TV3) set is wider zoom showing longer sections of track (useful at starts or to follow multi car actions)

Group 4 (StaticTV) - uses static aim type cameras.

Group 5 (DynamicTV) - simulates low altitude chopper (check the second video)

Group 6 (Random TV) - contains best of group1-5 angles plus a few more and including onboards to give you full TV style experience

PitLane - dedicated pitlane camera group covering the whole pitlane with entry and exit

Complete redesign of all configurations. The most affected is the Nordschleife because it is the shortest of all so I had more room to play. For all configurations you have now

I placed two grid cameras, one for rolling start and one for standing starts.

Unfortunately there was no more room for the Speedcam so its not used in this package individually but there are kerb cams placed in various other TV groups.

Overall it was a great challenge to put individual cameras in the correct group that flows well. It was like a puzzle where you only have none or a few empty slots, so I had to decide what to remove if I wanted to add something. Moreover I find a way to utilize the same camera in multiple camera groups to help with the transitions and variety. So this package have the most delicate camera balance from all.

The real life camera replica for Nurburgring Combined 24h layout was updated based on the 2023 ADAC 24h event. For the VLN layout I used the cameras from the NLS 2024 round.

Camera shake optimization - to make it more real life like. Camera shake is optimized on cars and static cameras that are on walls or on the ground. There is still work to do here.​

​Sound update and camera group harmonization. All tracks have been reviewed and I corrected the sound levels on all chase cameras that was too low until now. I also harmonized the order of camera groups so now you should see the same sequence from track to track.
